Shipping, returns & authenticity
The terms that travel with every watch. Anything specific to a single piece is written in that watch’s own listing: its condition, what it comes with, and whether it’s been serviced.

Authenticity & condition
Every watch is examined before it’s listed, and described as accurately as we can: the reference, the age, and the condition, including honest photographs and any parts that have been replaced or work that’s been done. Where a piece comes with its box, papers, or service records, that’s noted in its listing; where it doesn’t, we say so too.
Vintage watches carry their years, and we’d rather show a mark than hide it. If a watch ever turns out to be materially not as we described it, tell us and we’ll put it right (see Returns).
Shipping
Watches ship worldwide, fully insured, with tracking and a signature required on delivery. Each listing shows where a piece ships from; because we source across Japan and Europe, dispatch origin can vary by watch.
Any import duties, taxes, or customs charges raised by the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in the price at checkout. If you’d like a shipping estimate or a specific courier before you buy, write to us at hello@daybreakwatches.com.
Returns
Each watch is one of one and sold as-is, described and photographed exactly as we found it. Because of that we don’t offer change-of-mind returns, so please ask us anything you need before you buy; a real person will answer, and we’d always rather you were sure than sorry.
This doesn’t affect the consumer guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law. If a watch arrives materially not as described, contact us at hello@daybreakwatches.com and we’ll make it right.
Servicing
Service status is stated per watch. Some pieces have been through our bench and are sold freshly serviced, with the timing results quoted in the listing; others are sold honestly as-is and priced accordingly. The listing always tells you which.
A vintage watch is a mechanical thing that has already lived one life. Unless a listing says otherwise, assume a piece may want a service in the ordinary course and budget for it. Any specific guarantee on a watch is stated in its own listing. If you’re unsure what a particular piece has had done, ask before you buy and we’ll tell you exactly.
